Meet The Team
Auto-Barn was founded in 2010 by Ian, and without our skilled and knowledgeable team, it wouldn’t be the large garage it has now become.
Ian
Owner and MOT Tester
Ian is the company owner and also carries out some of the MOT tests. Ian first started his career in the motor trade as an apprentice working on lorries, before becoming a service advisor and working his way upto an After Sales manager in dealerships. A passionate BMW owner and enthusiast he is a complete petrol head and loves anything BMW. In his spare time he enjoys any form of motor racing, and loves going out for meals with friends and family.
Caroline
Reception Manager
Caroline joined the Auto-Barn team in the summer of 2020. She is also Ian’s partner, now making the garage a family run business. Bringing a wealth of customer service experience from her hospitality and administration background, Caroline’s attention to detail is second to none ensuring that everything required for the customers visit is taken care of. In her spare time she enjoys nice holidays, seeing friends and family and spending time with her 2 gorgeous fur babies.
Lee
Manager
Lee joined Auto-Barn in May 2023 after over 30 years working at a local main dealer. Throughout his career Lee has worked at all levels within the dealership and has vast experience in all roles. His daily duty is to manage the garage and ensure customer deadlines are met and our very high standards are maintained. In his spare time Lee is a family man, he also enjoys racing his radio controlled cars and goes kayak sea fishing off Hayling Island.
Simon
Master Technician
Simon has over 20 years experience of working on all vehicles. He left a prestige dealer to join Auto-Barn in 2020 and is responsible for the daily running of the workshop, ensuring that the high standards are enforced. He is also responsible for the more complex jobs where his vast knowledge is required. A self confessed petrol head Simon loves anything with an engine, and the faster the better. In his spare time he will be found tinkering on something with an engine.
Christian
MOT tester / Technician
Christian started at Auto-Barn as an apprentice and has worked hard year on year to gain the knowledge he now has and is very competent on all tasks. He is most happy getting stuck into the big mechanical jobs. In his spare time he enjoys riding his motorbike and loves anything thrill seeking, the scarier the better.
Mitchell
Apprentice Technician
Mitchell joined us in August 2024, following his work experience with us in 2023. It was very clear to us that he had a natural talent and such a keen interest that we offered him a job. As well as learning from all the technicians, he will be attending Chichester College to gain his qualification over the next 3 years. In his spare time he loves to race his go-kart at a British level and also spending time with his family and friends.
